CityNews – The Tourism Authority of Thailand invitedĀ people aged 55 or older and the press to have a tour of the Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens to encourage local tourism for those who are retired, and promote the Botanical Festival 2017, taking place from December 24 to January 2.
The Botanical Festival 2017 will have tours of the gardens where visitors are invited to learn more about the Royal Projects and the hedychium coronarium research, along with local food demonstrations, bottled orchids, shirts and flowerpot painting, blessing cards made from dried trees and flowers, and delicious afternoon tea accompanied by good music, games, entertainment and more.
The Canopy Walk was promoted, with 400 metres of beautiful views in the canopy of the mountain’s jungle.
Activities for the retired and elderly visitors was also promoted around the gardens, with calm adventure options and religious tourism increased for 2017. The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden’s new guidebook will be published by TAT, which includes free entry for tow people and a 10% discount.
