Nine upper secondary students from Prince Royal’s College Chiang Mai’s Technology Gifted Programme (TEP) departed Chiang Mai Airport on 8th May, headed to Phoenix, Arizona to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026, taking place 9th-15th May.
The school secured three of Thailand’s eight competing teams — the highest of any school — representing the country under the Science Society of Thailand under Royal Patronage. Their projects span AI-assisted cervical cancer screening, a multimodal prehospital stroke triage platform called StrokeSight, and an affordable optomechatronic AI system for high-resolution microbial analysis.
Over 1,800 young scientists from 80 countries will compete at ISEF for prize money worth millions of US dollars.
Citylife wishes them great success and fun!
