Governor Narit Pongsathitthavorn appointed a deputy governor to oversee the dredging of the Ping River, to make more room for water flow as rains are expected to fall heavily this season. After two months, the deputy governor has inspected the works in progress and says that phase one of the project has been completed. 64% of the work has been successfully implemented with two more months to finish the remainder.
