The Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation park has become one of the city’s most popular spots this rainy season, as steady rainfall transforms its wide lawns into a sweep of lush green with Doi Suthep — draped in low cloud — as a backdrop.

Residents and tourists alike have been making their way to the park throughout the day to walk, exercise and photograph the scenery, with many creating content against the verdant surroundings. Ekkamon Inthusophon, a regular morning visitor, said the park takes on a particular beauty during the rains, when the grass and trees revive and a cool breeze keeps the air fresh all day.

With open grounds accommodating activities for all ages, the PAO park has firmly established itself as one of Chiang Mai’s go-to green spaces for the season.
