We are all advised of a temporary road closure in Nong Phueng, Saraphi district, on Monday 13th April 2026, to accommodate the Songkran celebration “Pa Weni Pi Mai Mueang Chiang Mai: Splashing Happiness, Endless Fun @ Ton Yang Road.”
Officials say the closure is being put in place to ensure the event runs smoothly and to maximise safety for road users.

- From Chedi Kut Intersection to Lotus Go Fresh (Nong Phueng South)
Recommended Diversions
Authorities have suggested the following alternative routes:
- For traffic travelling from Nong Hoi Intersection into Saraphi district:
Use the diversion at Chedi Kut Intersection by turning left towards Chiang Mai 700th Anniversary Road (Outer Ring Road 2). - For traffic travelling from Lamphun to Chiang Mai:
Use the diversion at Lotus Go Fresh (Nong Phueng South) and continue via the road running alongside the railway line.
Officials apologised for the inconvenience and asked for the public’s cooperation during the temporary closure.
