The approved projects are: the Bangkok Mass Transit System Silom Line extension Phase 3 (Bang Wa–Taling Chan); a four-lane highway bypass in That Phanom district; the Chiang Mai Red Line mass transit system (Nakornping Hospital–Mae Hia Saman Samakkhi junction); a limestone quarrying operation for industrial lime production by Chememan Public Company Limited in Saraburi province; and the construction of third and fourth runways at Suvarnabhumi Airport together with an eastern passenger terminal extension.

The committee described the projects as addressing transport network development, logistics, urban traffic congestion in regional centres, and expanded international aviation and tourism capacity.
The meeting also endorsed a package of proactive environmental measures, including strengthened controls on cross-border movement of hazardous waste and tighter restrictions on the export and transit of non-hazardous plastic waste classified as Y48, aimed at preventing illegal transboundary pollution and aligning Thailand’s waste management standards with international norms.
Further resolutions included approval of wastewater treatment service rates for Patong Municipality in Phuket, and endorsement of Thailand’s Environmental Performance Index (EPI Thailand) results as a monitoring and benchmarking tool for natural resource and environmental management.
Songsak said infrastructure development and economic growth must proceed in tandem with environmental quality and public wellbeing, describing the measures approved at the meeting as mechanisms for balancing economic, social and environmental priorities toward long-term sustainable growth.
