Moncham Rainfall feast and treat, third edition

Now in its third year, the Moncham Rainfall series is back. Onsen at Moncham’s Mi Zu restaurant has long been associated with the cooler months, but the team wants visitors to know that Moncham in the rainy season is something else entirely: mist rolling over the hills, crisp mountain air and a kitchen firing on all cylinders.

On 22nd June, media, guests and partners gathered for the third iteration of the event — a fam trip designed to reframe Chiang Mai’s wet season as a destination in its own right. The result was a seven-course lunch conceived by Mae Tim of Suan Tunein and Chef Tom Patcharaphon of Mi Zu, paired with drinks from Sanpatong Distillery, in one of the most scenically dramatic settings in the generally splendid Mae Sa Valley.

For those who missed it, the same menu will be available for one day only — Sunday 28th June — at Mi Zu, Onsen at Moncham, priced at 1,990 baht per person for a seven-course lunch or dinner with beverage pairing. Guests who mention they heard about the event through Citylife or attended Moncham Rainfall 3 receive a special rate of 1,790 baht per person.
