Chiang Mai Municipality is set to begin repairs on the road around the city moat following the return of the area from the Provincial Electricity Authority. Work on the fourth phase — the outer moat road stretching roughly 3.2km from Jaeng Ku Ruang to Jaeng Hua Lin to Jaeng Sri Phum — will start on 22nd August.

The project aims to resurface the road and improve safety for motorists. Crews will strip the existing asphalt, lay new surfacing and repaint lane markings and signage according to municipal standards. Work is expected to take around three months.
Residents are asked to plan their journeys in advance, avoid the affected route where possible and take extra care while driving through the area.
