12-year-old Arisara Miles and her father, Trevor Miles, were found in the province of Phayao, and were taken to the British Consulate in Chiang Mai this week after her details were released to the public.

The official search began after a judge released the name and photo of the missing girl to the public, after her father failed to account for the girl’s welfare.

A court has ordered her to be returned to the United Kingdom.

According to immigration officials, the girl and her father entered Thailand on November 11 on a 60-day tourist visa which they extended another 30 days in the Chiang Mai Immigration Bureau. They also did a border crossing to Laos to extend it even further.
