Chansak Juejin, 35, said the two victims regularly insulted him and denigrated his work. One of them, Phanomporn Majak, 26, was shot in the mouth. The other, Pongthawat Manjai, 30, was shot in the head. They were both taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital.

Police arrested the suspect, who is originally from Chanthaburi province, and seized a gun he had thrown away in a forest near the restaurant. He said he had bought it from a friend a long time ago, and it only had two bullets.

Restaurant owner Wimonrat Panthong said she had been about to close when she saw Chansak walk over to the two men and shoot them.
