Mae Ping Police Station has launched a sustained operation targeting foreign nationals in its jurisdiction, focusing on illegal residency and employment, foreign-nominee business fronts, transnational influence networks and individuals suspected of exploiting the area for unlawful gain.

Officers from the crime suppression unit have been conducting regular sweeps of gathering points and areas with concentrations of foreign residents, under a campaign the station is calling “Iron Net” — framed as a continuous filter against illegal activity and conduct causing harm to Thai residents and the broader community.

The operation also targets longer-term economic and social risks, including businesses concealing foreign ownership through Thai nominees and cross-border criminal networks operating in the area.
