Officials continue to monitor a landslide-prone area in Ban Doi Lam, Mae Ai district, after heavy rain triggered ground subsidence overnight along Highway 1314, a route already closed due to earlier ground movement. The Chiang Mai Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office’s Fang branch has cordoned off the area and warned the public to stay away.
No injuries or deaths have been reported, and no homes have been damaged. Aerial survey identified three further points at risk of sliding. The village headman has advised at-risk residents to stay with relatives and remain ready to evacuate if conditions worsen.
