The King’s Cup football tournament will be held from 22nd-25th September at the 700th Anniversary Stadium.
This 48th King’s Cup by the Football Association of Thailand under royal patronage will begin its first match at 5.30pm tomorrow.
The 25,000 seater stadium is expected to be filled with the first day of ticket sales at Chiang Mai Central Airport Plaza selling 2,000 tickets in its first day alone.
Tickets priced at 100 or 150 baht are already being sold on social media for upwards 1,000 baht.
Authorities say that there will be more tickets on sale tomorrow from noon at the stadium.
Four teams will be competing – Thai national team, Malaysia, Tajikistan and Trinidad and Tobago.
