The Backyard Mahidol on Mahidol Road opens its Kids Zone to a morning of small-scale commerce and general mayhem, as children aged — well, small — set up stalls selling second-hand toys, handmade crafts and outgrown clothing to whoever wanders past.
Beyond the buying and selling, there’s a kids’ stage for singing, dancing and showing off, a clown doing clown things and a face-painting station to keep the afternoon moving. The whole thing runs 10am to 3pm, and the venue’s stated philosophy — “a happy space for everyone, every day” — suggests the bar for entry is refreshingly low.
Worth a Saturday outing if you have small people to entertain.
