Kad Luang, or Warorot Market, is bustling once more as the long holiday weekend draws to a close, with Thai and international visitors alike filling the aisles to pick up last-minute souvenirs before heading home, giving vendors a welcome boost in sales.

Among the best-selling items are sai ua, crispy pork rind, nam prik num, naem, moo yor and dried fruit, alongside handicrafts and souvenirs drawing on local wisdom, all proving especially popular with visiting tourists.

One vendor at the market said business had been notably slow for some time before this, but over the past two or three days since the long holiday began, tourists have been arriving steadily throughout the day, particularly through the late morning and afternoon, bringing the market back to life and giving small traders a much-needed boost to their income.
