Heavy rains hit Chiang Mai on the evening of 22nd July, causing flash flooding in several areas of Mae Ai district.
In Ban Mai Mok Cham, Moo 8, Tha Ton subtabon, water from Sala canal overflowed onto the road and into six homes, with one house flooded inside — seven homes affected in total.
In Ban Huai San, Moo 10, debris blocked a drainage channel, flooding one home. Village heads brought in a backhoe to clear the debris and restore drainage.
Rain has since stopped and water levels have returned to normal in both areas. Tha Ton Subdistrict Administrative Organisation officials are surveying damage and assessing the situation to prepare for further rain.
