DIY air purifiers available on loan for northern hospitals and vulnerable residents
As the air pollution crisis continues, a practical initiative is making clean air more accessible to those who need it most.
Pak Kret Municipality in Nonthaburi has partnered with Boonthavorn Chiang Mai to assemble and distribute DIY air purifiers to medical facilities and vulnerable groups across the north — including the elderly, young children and bedridden patients — on a loan basis, with units to be returned once air quality returns to normal levels.
The purifiers can be assembled quickly and are intended to be circulated to wherever need is greatest. Boonthavorn Chiang Mai is handling logistics and delivery to target recipients in the northern region.
Government agencies, medical facilities and caregivers working with vulnerable groups in the north who wish to borrow a unit can contact Pak Kret Municipality’s Safety Information Centre at 02-583-5323 or 084-635-1195, and ask for Natthaphong Srisawang, specialist computer technical officer at the municipality’s engineering division. Delivery is handled directly by the Boonthavorn Chiang Mai team. Great effort!
