Chiang Mai municipality has unveiled the, “Divine Radiance of Wiang Ping: Gateway to the Enchanted Lanna Realm” on Tha Pae Road to welcome visitors for the Yi Peng Festival 2025. The installation features weekly simulated Northern Lights shows through February 2026.

Mayor Assanee Buranupakorn presided over the opening, celebrating Lanna heritage and promoting Chiang Mai as a vibrant city of art and culture. The light tunnel blends traditional Lanna design with modern light, sound, and laser technology, set to music for a lively, immersive experience.

Inspired by the flame tree flower, the province’s symbol, the base reflects local pride and prosperity. A celestial angel figure crowns the arch, radiating themes of light, virtue, and hope.

Shows run every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday at 7:30 pm and 9 pm, from November 2025 to March 2026, transforming Tha Pae Road into a dazzling seasonal landmark.
