Chiang Mai is gearing up for take-off as preparations begin for the Chiang Mai International Airshow Festival 2026, set to take place from 23rd-25th January 2026 at Chiang Mai Airsports.

Organised by the Northern Aviation Association in collaboration with public and private sector partners, the event aims to promote aviation tourism in Chiang Mai and the wider North, while positioning the province as a future hub for general aviation, aircraft maintenance, and aerospace-related industries.

The festival is designed to generate economic activity and will also serve as a learning platform for aviation enthusiasts, offering insights into aviation technology, innovation, and the history of flight in Chiang Mai and northern Thailand, while inspiring young people to explore careers in aviation.

Visitors can look forward to a packed programme featuring flight demonstrations and aerial sports, aerobatic displays, exhibitions of more than 30 general aviation aircraft from Thailand and overseas, aviation exhibitions, and showcases by airlines, educational institutions, and aviation-related businesses. The event will also host seminars on the Aerospace–Aviation Cluster in the Greater Mekong Subregion, alongside community activities including OTOP markets, product expos, paragliding displays, and radio-controlled jet demonstrations.
