Most vendors spoken to had already been through the process with the earlier Khon La Khrueng Plus scheme, leaving them confident about registration this time around — phones in hand, ready to tap the moment the system went live. Veteran participants were also on hand to guide first-timers less familiar with the technology.
Trader Suree Jinamun said spending had been sluggish of late, and she was hopeful the cash injection from the programme would give people the confidence to get out and spend more freely. She was certain it would boost sales, calling it good news for vendors across the board.
The Thai Chuay Thai Plus scheme opened merchant and small business registration on 25th May, with vendors able to register independently through the Thung Ngoen app.
