The Association of Northern Tourism Federation- Chiang Mai, supported by Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization successfully launched a strategic roadshow in Seoul to strengthen Tourism ties between Thailand and South Korea.

Led by Mrs. Wityalak Samchai, Vice President of Chiang Mai PAO, the delegation featured 35 key operators—including Hotels, Travel Agencies, and Local Communities—engaging in B2B sessions with over 50 leading South Korean travel partners, coordinated by the TAT Seoul Office.

Key Highlights:
• “Chiang Mai 365 Days”: The campaign shifts focus from traditional golf and shopping to year-round cultural experiences, vibrant festivals, and local gastronomy.
• Expanding Horizons: New travel routes spotlighting Mae On, Mae Rim, and Chiang Dao were introduced to encourage longer stays and community-based tourism.
• Market Outlook: Despite a weaker Won, Chiang Mai remains a top-tier destination for the Korean market, particularly for high-season golfers (Oct–Feb) and corporate incentive groups (MICE).
This mission serves as a pilot initiative to diversify Chiang Mai’s tourism appeal, ensuring the province remains a premier choice for South Korean travelers seeking authentic and innovative experiences.
