CityNews – On Saturday 18th May, at 700 Year Stadium, ‘The Tigers’ of Chiang Mai FC played an important home game against ‘The Emerald Chariots’ of Lampang FC.

The home team dominated the game from the start and had many chances in the first ten minutes. They finally scored the goal they deserved in the 35th when flamboyant striker Chatchai Nakvichit shot from distance. Lampang almost equalized with a few minutes left in the first but the shot hit the post. The first half ended, 1-0.
In the second half Chiang Mai dominated again. Chatchai Nakvichit scored his second goal, an easy tap-in in the 65th minute. Chatchai then got his hat-trick with a third to finish off a fantastic match for the young Thai.
Chiang Mai is now in the 1st position of AIS Regional League, Northern Region with 31 points out of 13 games played.
Chiang Mai will next play Sunday 26th May against seconf place Phitsanulok FC.
