Ms. Thanita Kunyosying, President of the Chiang Mai Online Media Association, accompanied by members of the association’s executive committee, paid an official visit to Mr. Thotsapol Phueanudom, Governor of Chiang Mai, to formally introduce the association and its committee members.
The visit provided an opportunity for the association to present its vision, mission, objectives and future plans, with a focus on strengthening the capabilities and professional standards of online media practitioners in Chiang Mai. The association also aims to build a collaborative media network that supports effective communication, public relations and the wider interests of the community.
The meeting marked an important step towards establishing closer ties with government agencies and laying the groundwork for future cooperation. The association expressed its commitment to using the collective strengths of its members to serve as an additional communication channel for Chiang Mai, sharing important developments and contributing positively to the province’s growth.
The association reaffirmed its readiness to support the dissemination of provincial news, government policies, public announcements, major events and information of public interest, as well as positive stories from across Chiang Mai.
Through its diverse online media platforms, the association hopes to strengthen connections between the public sector, private businesses and media organisations, while promoting accurate, reliable and responsible reporting. This collaborative approach aims to make information more accessible, timely and effective in reaching both Thai and international audiences.
The association also highlighted its commitment to promoting Chiang Mai’s image and reputation, particularly in the areas of economic development, tourism, arts and culture, local lifestyles and community development.
