Chiang Mai municipality mayor Assanee Buranupakorn led executives, department heads and relevant officials on a site visit to Ton Lamyai Market Park to follow up on progress renovating the riverside area into a new public activity space along the Ping River.
The upgraded park will serve as a public plaza for relaxation, exercise and other community activities while adding green space to make the city more shaded and pleasant.
The project falls under the municipality’s “Chiang Mai: City of Wellbeing” and “Chiang Mai: City of Sustainable Liveability” policies which aim to raise residents’ quality of life by creating environments that support good health, developing Chiang Mai into a beautiful and safe city for residents and visitors alike, and promoting environmental sustainability through expanded green space for recreation and mental wellbeing.
