The Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Northern Thailand at the Ethnic Lanna Festival 2026, taking place from 3–5 July 2026 at Central Chiang Mai Airport.
The three-day festival offers an opportunity to experience the traditions, lifestyles, craftsmanship, and wisdom of Lanna’s diverse ethnic communities through a vibrant programme of cultural performances, local music, artisan products, and interactive activities.
Visitors can enjoy traditional dance and folk music performances that showcase the unique identities of Northern Thailand’s ethnic groups, while browsing more than 50 community vendors featuring locally made products from Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, and Mae Hong Son.
A series of free hands-on workshops will also allow guests to learn traditional crafts and gain a deeper appreciation of local culture through practical experiences. Throughout the event, visitors can also take advantage of exclusive promotions, giveaways, and complimentary souvenirs.
The festival aims to promote cultural tourism while supporting local communities and preserving the region’s diverse cultural heritage.
