With the Thai-Cambodian conflict continuing, the Chiang Mai Guides Association as well as many businesses in the tourist industry are preparing foods and necessities including thousands of pairs of socks and underwear, soaps and shampoos, mosquito repellent and toothbrushes, to send to support troops as well as villagers living in affected areas.
“We just want them to know that we are thinking of them and are sending them encouragement,” aid Wasna Thongsuk President of the Chiang Mai Tourism Industry. Postage fees have been waived by the Post Office.
