Chiang Mai FC on Winning Streak

CityNews – On Sunday 4th August, ‘The Tigers’ of Chiang Mai took on the ‘The Eagles’ of Phayao. It was always going to be an interesting game as many ex-CMFC players now play in the Phayao squad.

Chiang Mai started the game in their attacking style and it paid off when in the 30th minute flamboyant striker Chatchai Nakvijit drilled a shot in from 40 yards.

The second half saw lots of chances go wide for both teams, while goalies at each side made some fine saves. The game finished 1-0.

Chiang Mai FC are still at the top of the league with 56 points out of 24 games played, followed by Phitsanulok TSY FC who have 47 points out of 24 games played.

The next game is a ‘Lanna Derby Match’ against fierce rivals ‘Lamphun Warriors’. Sunday 11th August at Lamphun Stadium.
