Organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (PUBAT) in collaboration with Central Pattana Plc, operator of Central Chiang Mai Airport, the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, and Thailand Post, this year’s fair promises one of Northern Thailand’s largest celebrations of books, storytelling and creative learning.

Highlights include the Read the Legend exhibition, storytelling competitions for children aged 6–12, The Book I Love illustration contest supported by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, The Legend Playground, and creative workshops hosted by TK Park. Together, these activities encourage greater public engagement with books, literacy and lifelong learning.

One of the fair’s biggest attractions is its extensive programme of author talks and panel discussions featuring some of Thailand’s best-known writers, illustrators and creators. Aspiring writers can also join the Editor 101 workshop, led by acclaimed editor Kwa Chuen Bangkhombang, editor of an award-winning SEA Write title, offering practical insights into transforming ideas into published books.

The fair also features a diverse series of talks organised by academic and public institutions, including the Tourism Research and Development Centre of the Multidisciplinary Research Institute, Chiang Mai University, and the Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, among others, covering topics ranging from literature and culture to tourism and contemporary society.
