Central Pattana Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Health Science Research Institute of Chiang Mai University and key partners, has launched a regional campaign titled “Share the Air – Passing on Better Air”, aimed at addressing the ongoing PM2.5 crisis in northern Thailand.
The initiative integrates academic research and health expertise to deliver a structured response covering the full pollution chain — from source reduction and air quality management within operational areas, through to targeted support for vulnerable communities.
The campaign is running across four Central shopping centres in the north — Central Chiang Mai, Central Chiang Mai Airport, Central Chiang Rai and Central Lampang — until 30th April 2026.
The Health Science Research Institute of Chiang Mai University is supporting the campaign with academic oversight and impact assessment, with the aim of ensuring evidence-based, longer-term outcomes rather than a one-off response to an acute crisis.
Looking ahead, Central Pattana says it intends to expand the initiative as part of a broader strategy to position its shopping centres as platforms connecting government, private sector, academia, agriculture and local communities — a shift, the company suggests, from reactive crisis response towards something more like a standing regional partnership.
