Celebrating 20 Years of the Museum of Broken Relationships

The Museum of Broken Relationships Chiang Mai is celebrating its 20th global anniversary alongside two years of its permanent home in Chiang Mai with a special anniversary season titled “Stories Still Here: 20 Years of Memories, 2 Years in Chiang Mai.” Running from 7 November to 31 December 2026, the museum invites the public to explore the remnants of past relationships through two dedicated programmatic highlights.

Key Activities
  • Main Event: “What Remains?” Roundtable Conversation
    • Date & Time: Saturday, 7 November 2026 | 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
    • Details: An intimate roundtable session that invites participants to reflect on their connections with personal objects, memories, and enduring life stories. The session incorporates storytelling, listening, drawing, and writing.
    • Discussion Themes: Participants will explore how memories shift when physical objects disappear, and what continues to linger after a relationship changes or ends.
    • Open Call: The museum is opening applications for 8 participants. This activity is free of charge.

  • Seasonal Feature: Card Station and Letters Between Zagreb and Chiang Mai
    • Date: 7 November – 31 December 2026
    • Location: Reception Area
    • Details: Visitors can drop by the interactive card station throughout the season to write and share personal stories, memories, or moments that still remain, collectively expanding a shared archive of memory connecting Zagreb and Chiang Mai.
