CityNews –  October 3-4, 2019 Bangkok will host GlobalWarm 2019, the 2nd International Conference on Global Warming and Climate Change. Focusing on global warming and planning for a sustainable future, the conference will bring to Thailand researchers, scholars, policymakers and industry experts, biomedical specialists, environmental scientists and meteorologists from around the world on a single platform to share knowledge and strategies for managing this, the crisis of our times.

“Now, more than ever,” says Kwanpirom (Aom) Suksri, Manager of the Warm Heart Foundation’s “Stop the Smoke” biochar project in Mae Chaem, “it is critical that we act. The global system is at a tipping point. Only informed action now will save us from going over the edge.”

Plenary Speaker Dr. Fredolin Tangang is Visiting Professor at the Ramkhamhaeng University Center for Regional Climate Change and Renewable Energy (RU-CORE) in Bangkok and served as Vice Chair of Working Group I of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, the leading climate change organization in the world) 2008 – 2015.

“As a key knowledge leader in ASEAN and ASEAN Chair this year, Thailand is the natural host for GlobalWarm 2019,” notes Andrew Dass, spokesman for the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), conference organizer.

Only limited tickets are still available, so Dass strongly recommends that anyone interested in attending GlobalWarm 2019 register as soon as possible.
