Another 43 arrested for violating curfew last night

CityNews – 8th April 2020, police announced that a further 43 people had been arrested last night for violating curfew in the district of Chiang Mai.

As a reminder, unless you have received a special permit or have an emergency, there is a curfew in place between 10pm and 4pm daily. Please avoid going out onto the streets during these hours and if you are visiting someone or out doing business, make sure you have returned home before 10pm.

Police say that amongst those arrested they have also discovered two people in possession of drugs. Many of the remaining people had also been drinking.

Patrols are also being stepped up to ensure public safety at night, especially in homes which may be vulnerable to burglary.
