Anantara Chiang Mai Resort proudly announces Peru–Lanna Nights, a two-evening cultural and culinary celebration honouring the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Peru and Thailand. In collaboration with the Embassy of Peru, the event brings together the vibrant traditions of both nations, paying tribute to six decades of friendship through the universal language of food, culture, and human connection.
Her Excellency Ms. Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazán, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand, shared, “We are delighted to collaborate with Anantara Chiang Mai Resort on Peru–Lanna Nights. This celebration not only marks 60 years of diplomatic relations, but also brings our cultures closer through gastronomy and shared experiences. We look forward to strengthening the friendship between Peru and Thailand.”
“We are honoured to partner with the Embassy of Peru for this special event. Peru–Lanna Nights reflects our commitment to cultural exchange and to creating meaningful experiences for our guests. We are proud to celebrate this milestone of friendship between our two countries” added, Mr. Arnaud Béril, Cluster General Manager of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort.
The celebration begins on 12 December with a remarkable Four-Hands Dinner at The Service at 1921 House, where Chef Abel Ortiz Alvarez from Peru joins forces with Chef Natruthai Petsuwan, Executive Chef of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. Together, they present an exquisite six-course journey that blends the bold flavours of Peru with refined Lanna inspirations, offering guests a gastronomic experience that bridges continents and cultures. Menu features Seabass Ceviche, Krong Karn Luang Quinoa Larb, Anticucho with Andean Chimichurri, Gai Dam Chiang Dao Nueng Kub Mun Ngiao, Beef Stew with Tacu Tacu and Cocao Mae Orn Mousse. Paired with premium Peruvian wines, the evening reflects the creative synergy and warmth that define the relationship between the two nations. Priced at THB 1,921++ per person, the dinner promises an intimate and immersive celebration in the historic setting of the resort’s iconic 1921 House.
The festivities continue on 13 December with a lively Soirée by the River at Bubbles Rooftop Bar, transforming the Ping Riverfront into a vibrant gathering of Peruvian–Lanna flavours and camaraderie. Guests can savour a dynamic selection of fusion Peru-Lanna canapés, enjoy live cooking stations, and sip on handcrafted Pisco cocktails — a spirited nod to Peru’s national drink. Set against the enchanting riverscape of Chiang Mai, this evening invites guests to celebrate cultural diversity and the enduring friendship between Peru and Thailand in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. The soirée is priced at THB 1,291++ per person, inclusive of free-flow canapés and Pisco cocktails between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
