Last night police arrested the 67 year old abbot of Wat Ton Kaew in Hang Dong for incident acts with a minor.
According to police a 15 year old girl told her family earlier this week that the monk had been hugging, kissing, touching and inappropriate with her. After which he would give her between 150-200 baht to spend on snacks.
Police say that they acted immediately and have since discovered that other girls have complained about the abbot for years. He was arrested without bail and awaiting trial.
