More than 100 officers from the Protected Area Regional Office 16 together with staff from over 10 affiliated agencies visited the blood bank at Maharaj Nakorn Hospital to donate blood for Thai soldiers injured in clashes along the Thai–Cambodian border.

The donation drive was led by Samanuk Thaopha, Director of the Forest Fire Control and Operations Division who led more than 100 officials in a show of solidarity with frontline soldiers working to defend the nation in high-risk areas. Each unit of donated blood, he said, symbolised the concern and support of those standing behind the troops during the escalating border tensions. The event aimed not only to supply blood, but also to boost morale for those serving to maintain national peace and security.

The Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, has begun accepting donations of whole blood and blood components to support hospitals near the Thai–Cambodian border. Today marked the first day of the campaign, attracting large numbers of officials and members of the public. She noted that while current demand for blood in the border region is not yet high, the drive is intended to support nearby hospitals in the Northeast and ensure maximum preparedness.

Once requests are made, the blood bank will transfer supplies to National Blood Service Region 10 in Chiang Mai for coordination and onward transport to border areas by road or air, ensuring the fastest and safest delivery to patients in high-risk zones.
