Hi, Julien. Firstly, tell us who you are and what you do:
I’m a French insurance consultant, after gaining my skills and experience in the hospital industry. Before Chiang Mai, I was working in hospitals in Koh Samui, and now I’m proud to have a customer base from all over the world: Switzerland, South America, Spain, and from closer too, like Pattaya, Phuket, and the Isaan areas. People know me, and they know I care about them, which is something I learnt from working in hospitals. I like to focus on that now in the insurance business – personal health and caring for people.
So, how do you think you serve the Chiang Mai community and individuals?
First of all, we provide good, personable service, which is always appreciated. Chiang Mai is developing so fast, and people need insurance for their new properties or businesses, for construction projects, and the health of their growing families. Because of our multilingual and multinational team, we’re good at making a solid link between the insurance and the customers – they understand our explanation of the terms involved, unlike other, more scrupulous insurance businesses. In particular, we hate seeing foreigners in Chiang Mai struggle with local insurance companies who might not properly cater to them, or get ripped off because they might misunderstand the terms. People trust us and our policies, and I like to think I help with my heart and soul.
Let us in on your secrets! What are the most common problems faced by customers?
The most common problems for people are definitely those related to health and hospitals. Hospitals are stressful enough already, but for a foreigner in need of care, these situations can become nightmares. People might not know how the system works, what the laws are, or what fees they will have to face. Also, in the case of road accidents, oftentimes the foreign party might be at less of an advantage, whether they’re the cause or not. So we are there for emergencies like that. And foreigners are also at an advantage, too, because they can enjoy affordable insurance with high coverage.
Finally, what do you offer your customers?
We offer health, personal, travel, property (houses, condos, and more), vehicle and business insurance. We also offer fair and friendly service with a personal touch. We can confidently work by email, over the phone, or in person, because we understand that people are in different situations, and have different needs.
