CityNews – October 13, Chiang Rai police were informed that a security guard had been killed after a quarrel ended in a fight over a gun leaving the security guard being shot accidentally.
Supachai Pasom, 56, was a security guard working at an apartment outside Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
According to witnesses, Supachai accused another security guard, 56-year-old Jamlong Takham, of stealing his whistle valued at around 500 baht. Jamlong refused, leading to a quarrel and fight. Jamlong carried a knife and chased after Supachai. As they were fighting, Supachai snatched a gun hanging from Jamlong’s waist. They both fought over the gun and Supachai was accidentally shot.
Jamlong will be prosecuted.
