Mule Shot Dead After Shootout With Police

CityNews – A drug mule was killed by police after a shootout behind the Pasak Village in the Mae Sai area on July 15.


Thai police laid a trap to arrest a drug mule two kilometers from the Thai-Burmese Border aft a tip off informed them of an Akha hill tribe man passing through the area.

When a man fitting the description walked through the area, police revealed themselves. The man opened fire on police resulting in a shootout leaving the drug mule dead.

Police seized 12,000 yaba pills, but were unable to identify the man as he had no identification on him.

It is believed that he was delivering drugs to a dealer in the Mae Sai area.
