CityNews – The Upper Northern Province including Chiang Mai, Maehongson, Lampang, and Lumphun hosted the “Lanna Expo 2013” opening meeting on Monday August 5, 2013 at Rati Lanna Chiang Mai Hotel.
This is the biggest project of its kind showing Lanna products. There will be over 600 shops to see from August 9-15, 2013 at the Royal Park Ratchaphruek Chiang Mai. Anyone can enter for free.
Mr. Adisorn Kumnerdsri, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, “This is a center of international trade and investment, distinctive of Lanna culture and society.” He added that Lanna culture and Lanna food is now a centre of tourism.
Each part of northern Thailand will have its distinct appeal and will also have unique products. These can all be seen at the Lanna Expo.
On top of that there will be an ‘Ecotourism city’ and a ‘Lanna Handicraft Festival’.
