CityNews – On September 1 police arrested a man in connection with a stabbing on July 20, which saw two victims severely injured outside a coffee shop in the Pa Tan area.
21-year-old Nopparat Wongketjai was arrested for attempted murder with a knife and after searching his residence, seized a 20cm knife as evidence.
On the night of July 20, police were informed that two people were stabbed outside a coffee shop on Assadathorn Road, Pat Tan area. The attacker had fled the scene.
After investigation of the CCTV footage, police identified the attacker as Nopparat.
Upon arrest, Nopparat admitted to his crime, but claimed that he was attacked by the two men after leaving a pub to smoke a cigarette. He told police he used the knife in self defense.
The investigation continues.
