Rangsan decided to visit the Mae Rim police station and claimed he was a second lieutenant, but police soon became suspicious of him as he was clearly shorter than the minimum height requirement needed to be a military officer.

Police arrested Rangsan and found he was carrying 16 yaba pills in his bag. He confessed that he was addicted to drugs and pretended to be a soldier to avoid arrest.

He is now awaiting prosecution.
