CityNews – On 2nd December the Chiang Mai Governor Wichian Puttiwinyu and government officers joined together at the town hall to insist that they are still working as normal, despite the statement from the anti-government protests leader Suthep Thaugsuban that all governmental offices must be closed.
On the same day, hundreds of Chiang Mai Village Chiefs Association members came to show their support for the government. They said they accepted any government that comes from election and rules the country with democracy beneath HM the King.
The association also added they would like the government to open a forum for every sector to talk about solutions and urged everyone to stay away from violent measures.
