CityNews – The burnt remains of an unidentified woman was found in the forest of Sarapee’s Nong Fak sub-district on August 7.
The body was found by a man known as Lar, who reported it to the police.
60 percent of the body was burnt, but police believe the woman was young, as her body was small and she still had braces.
A large suitcase with two straps were found next to the body.
Police believe the woman was murdered, put into the suitcase and brought to the jungle, where the killer then burnt the body with petrol.
100 metres away from the body, police found cigarette butts and car tyre tracks.
The investigation is ongoing and the collected evidence has been taken to be forensically examined in an attempt to trace the murderer.
