Restrictions loosened following 17 days of no new cases

Following 17 consecutive days with zero reports of new cases of Covid-19 found in Chiang Mai, the deputy governor has announced that various health and safety measures and precautions will be loosened in hopes that the economy revives.

The deputy governor said that he hopes that people will return to life as normal such as travelling in and out of the province with ease and going out to bars and restaurants, all of which will be able to reopen today.

As of today:

1. Relaxing of measures to enter the province

2. Opening of bars and restaurants

3. Releasing restrictions of events and large social gatherings

This will all be in effect as of today until further notice.
