Over 300 people considered in an at-risk group underwent Covid-19 tests yesterday at the Mae On district office, after the Chiang Mai Public Health Office temporarily set up an emergency testing site to respond to news of a new cluster.
Over the weekend 17 people tested positive in Mae On, Sankampaeng District, eight of whom were staff at the Sankampaeng Hot Springs while the rest were members of family of nearby businesses.
Around 30 people who are believed to have been exposed to the virus have been quarantined for 14 days on the premises of the hot springs.
In Chiang Mai 34 people tested positive today, brining this year’s total to 6,006 people.
