CityNews – The New North Expo 2019 by the Industrial Promotion Centre Region 1 is expected to reach a total of 15 million baht in transactions.
At a press conference held on August 16th by the Industrial Promotion Centre Region 1, a New North Expo 2019 Food and Lifestyle event was announced. The fair, which will be held from August 23rd to 25th at Chiang Mai Hall, Central Plaza Chiang Mai Airport, will feature 250 vendors featuring entrepreneurs across Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Lamphun and Lampang.
Anucha Meekiatchaikoon, director of the Federation of Thai Industries Chiang Mai Chapter revealed that the fair is expected to welcome 100,000 visitors, generating 15 million baht in transactions during the three day event.
The New North Expo will be curated to showcase food innovations and souvenirs from the upper northern region with a three year plan driven by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau whose policy is to promote regional trade fair with the project “Empower Thailand Exhibition (EMTEX)”. The goal is to promote Chiang Mai as a MICE destination.
The event will feature the Northern Inno Showcase, the Northern Gift & Lifestyle Industry Creation, along with business networking and a cooking competition from the Club Masterchef Thailand.
