CityNews – The 8th Chiang Mai Mango Day will be celebrated next week from June 7 to June 9 at Chiang Mai Provincial Government Offices .
Chiang Mai has over 55 rai of Mango plantations, mostly located in Mae Tang and Chiang Dao districts. Over 71,000 tons are produced each year, which is exported nationwide and internationally earning over 300 million Baht in revenue.
The fruits strong economic value has inspired the Chiang Mai Mango Day and helps boost mango based tourism. The event at the Chiang Mai Provincial Government Offices will host various numbers of cultivators and farmers from 25 districts, exhibitions, seedlings for sale, demonstration on mango plant care and how to gown mango off-season as well as a cooking contest.
