Laab Lung Noi by Tee Lung Mor
Citylife’s now-departed deputy editor, Aydan Stuart, took us out to his favourite street-side diner before leaving our team and Chiang Mai for the Big Mango.
When Aydan was studying as an exchange student at a Bangkok university many years ago he came to visit Chiang Mai and happened upon Laab Lung Noi by Tee Lung Mor (not a name that rolls of the tongue!) and has been a fan ever since.
“I order a cold glass of beer first, and then the food arrives,” beamed Aydan, as he did just that. “The spicy pork laab, the grilled intestines, chicken and beef, the bbq ribs, Lao som tum, corn spicy salad…the list goes on.”
Sakkarin Bunjongsirisit the restaurant’s owner said that they have been open for 16 years and have been serving mainly university students ever since.
