Uniforms Too Cool For School

CityNews – Several schools in Chiang Mai have announced that due to the unusually cold weather, students can now wear warm trousers and thick coats instead of school uniforms until the cold weather passes.

On January 26, Regina Coeli announced to students and teachers that from January 27 – 29, students can wear warm clothes from home.

Prince Royal School also announced that students can wear trousers instead of shorts or skirts, but must only wear school issue sweaters.

Other schools in the area have followed suit.

The current cold spell is the coldest recorded in Thailand for over 50 years.
