Two Women Arrested With 46,000 Meth Pills Headed for Chiang Mai

CityNews – Two women were arrested after police found 46,000 methamphetamine pills in their car at the 700th Anniversary Chiangmai Sports Complex on September 24th.

The two women, identified as 26-year-old Natnicha ‘Pupe’ Metha and 37-year-old Kaenchan Inthason from Fang district. They were idenrtified by police after a series of other arrests made in connection to drug dealing from a group of people in Fang.

Both women confessed to police that they were transporting the drugs from Fang to Chiang Mai in order to sell to number of celebrities and musicians in the city.

Orders were made via LINE application on their mobile phones, both of which have been seized as evidence.

This sting came after Natthapat ‘Dao’ Wichitpattanadecha was arrested on September 19th after she was found in possession of 16,000 Yaba pills, drugs she said were provided by Natnicha and Kaenchan.

A series of other arrests lead police to these two women who they believe to be the leaders of this drug dealing operation.

On September 17th, Tharathorn Tipduang and Janejira Unkammuang were arrested with 5,304 pills of Yaba and 1.38 grams of methamphetamine.

On September September 25th, police arrested Boonrod Phayaju with 71,800 pills of Yaba after information was provided by those previously arrested.
